The secret to glamming up at holiday time? Shop independent women’s boutiques for unique styles and personalized attention. See why these 4 metro Detroit boutiques are our favorites…
Is it really the most wonderful time of the year…already?! If you’re like me, the holiday season has managed to sneak up on you. It feels like we went from the Fourth of July to fa la la in the blink of an eye.
The holidays are supposed to be some of the happiest times of the year, but I often feel overwhelmed, too. Fighting for a mall parking spot. Waiting in long lines to check out. Managing an ever-growing social calendar. Finding that one perfect outfit to see me through the endless line-up of parties. It’s no wonder some of us end up a little frazzled.
My secret for avoiding a little of that stress? Skipping the mall and heading to my local shops to deck myself out for the holidays. I love my local boutiques because there’s always a knowledgeable employee to guide me to just what I’m looking for. Sometimes I even talk directly to the store owner.
Even better…the unique boutique pieces mean I can snag a one-of-a kind look. Because you don’t want to show up at the party in the exact same red dress as Gertie from Accounting. Um, awkward.
I’ve also found that local shops offer better sales in December, which makes me feel a bit more justified in splurging on myself.
Now that my secret is out, I might as well share a few local favorites, too. These metro Detroit boutiques can help you glam out for every holiday event on your calendar this season.
